About National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA)

The National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) is a wholly owned Government of Malawi entity, incorporated under the Companies Act of 1984 on 10 December 2010. The Company commenced operations in 2012 with a core mandate of ensuring the security of fuel supply across Malawi.

NOCMA leads the importation of petroleum products into the country and serves as the Government's principal agent in managing Malawi's Strategic Fuel Reserves (SFRs). The Company oversees strategically positioned fuel reserves in Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu, complemented by additional depots in Chilumba, Chipoka, and Mchinji, providing nationwide coverage and supply resilience.
