Job Description

We have been retained by our client, the Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organization (MANASO) to recruit result-oriented Malawian professionals with the reputable technical expertise and practical experience to take up five (5) senior positions within its corporate hierarchy in order to strengthen the Top Management Team.

MANASO is the leading membership organization playing a unique role as an enabling agant to facilitate Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to collectively and accountably work together to advance the fight against HIV and AIDS in Malawi. MANASO`s vision is to improve Quality health for all Malawians with a mission of promoting access to health for Malawians through co-ordinated and accountable community health systems.

These are challenging positions requiring the services of highly qualified and experienced individuals who are recognised leaders with leading – edge skills in their respective areas of expertise. The new recruits are expected to join and contribute in the building a dynamic, multi-skilled and high profile team of experts. This recruitment initiative is aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency/effectiveness and service quality of the organization to ensure continued success in the fight against HIV and AIDS and other related conditions in Malawi.


Position: MONITORING AND EVALUATION SPECIALIST



Overall Purpose


Reporting to Director of Programmes, the M & E Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of the functional and successful monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system of the organization. The incumbent will be required to play a strategic leadership role in all M&E activities including development/ revision of the M&E plan, documentation of ongoing program monitoring and reporting to ensure that the program M&E system and structures are responsive and are abke to effectively monitor and track project results.


Qualifications and Competencies


The position requires a highly motivated person with the following attributes;

  • Master`s Degree in Public Health, Demography, Statistics, Economics or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years relevant expeience with mastery of M&E systems and practices, standards and innovations.
  • Excellent knowledge of statistics and ability to design and aconduct quantitative and qualitative studies.
  • Experience managing, supervising and motivating staff, and addressing performance challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal people management skills;
  • Good analytical and presentation skills (both written and oral presenation); articulate in written/spoken English.
