Position: National Product Catalogue (NPC) Data Entry Clerk (1 Temporary Position for three months)


DESCRIPTION 

Summary 

Since 2017, VillageReach and Global Health Supply Chain Program (GHSC)-Procurement and Supply Chain (PSM) has been implementing the OpenLMIS system throughout Malawi as part of Government of Malawi and USAID continued improvement of information systems in health supply chain. One key input for the optimisation of OpenLMIS is the harmonization of data in the National Product Catalogue (NPC). 

The Scope of the current assignment is therefore to establish NPC in Malawi to standardise product master data into a single source that will feed into OpenLMIS. VillageReach is searching for qualified and energetic individual to fill the temporary position of Data Entry Clerk. Based in Lilongwe, the Data Entry Clerk will work closely with the Supply Chain Team to capture, map and consolidate products data (including Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: 

  • The data clerk will be the main data collection resource. 
  • The data clerk will go to the warehouses which serve as product entry points and 
    • review the products at the warehouse 
    • record available products 
    • record GS1 barcodes for the products , 
    • record other key product attributes required to define trade items 
    • Map product to the MHPR. 
    • Store recorded information.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 


Education & Experience:
 

  • At least a Diploma in Pharmacy, Logistics, Supply chain, Information Technology, Statistics 
  • Experience in Product Catalogue Management Tool (PCMT) or GS1 app will be an added advantage 
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant hands on experience 

Other Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated understanding of the Malawi health supply chain; 
  • This position is only open to Malawian citizens.
