Programming and Training Assistant


Peace Corps, an International Development Agency of the US Government has an immediate opening for a Programming and Training Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the Global Health Service Partnership Program Manager in overall management of the projects, including responding to hosting preparing routine and correspondence and documenting successful Global Service Partnership Program Volunteer activities Partnership the volunteers Health achieve the objectives of the Global Health Service their Malawian Program in Malawi

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications for the job include:

  • Degree/Diploma Public Health, any other health related field
  • Three to five years of experience in development assistance and program management.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work independently, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the core concepts, principles, and practices in the health field internationally and in Malawi,
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Be able to work independently and pay close attention to details

 

Additional preferred qualifications include

  • Demonstrate maturity and professionalism in the health field and have experience to represent the Peace Malawi with Government of Malawi colleagues, US, Government counterparts and NGO partners Corps
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills that will support the candidate
    • To develop and track Volunteer data.
    • To multi-task and handle all requests of routine program reports and Documents
    • To provide logistical support in organizing site visits and training events
    • To support monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite:
  • Ability to prepare annual program and budget reports and develop resource materials (such as manuals, training designs and policy statements).
  • Experience with a US, Mission Government Agency or other International Organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
