Job Description

Daytona Limited, a sole distributor of HOHAN trucks in Malawi wishes to employ the services of a well matured Retailer - Heavy Duty Trucks for its truck.

RETAILER — HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Should be able to get prospect or new customers in a manner prescribed by Management i.e. Soliciting commercial truck sales/business from assigned accounts through personal or phone contacts
  • Maintain clients and prospect databases
  • Follow departmental procedures in completing truck paperwork using available systems or tools
  • Advise customers on product performance, application and benefits
  • Offer test drive to prospective customers
  • Coordinate service work with the service the service department
  • Coordinating financing and Insurance with appropriate departments
  • Coordinate with supervisor and be available for assigned floor days, required meetings and other appointed times
  • Consistently conduct and maintain sales department business
  • Meet established performance criteria as determined by management
  • Following up on post-delivery work and special requests to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Preparing sales reports
  • Ability to explain warranty and service conditions.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledgeable in the area of truck specifications
  • Familiarity with accounting and computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat)
  • Ability to calculate critical figures and amounts such as; discounts, interests and commissions
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, self-motivated, strong time management, perfect oral and written skills
  • Fluent in English, Chichewa and any other languages.


QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Business Administration/Sales and Marketing/any other related field
  • Knowledge of the main Microsoft office Packages is a must
  • Clean Code C or above driving license
  • Must have worked in the truck industry for at least three years or more.
