Job Overview
The Actuarial Manager will serve as the principal actuarial authority within the organization, providing strategic, financial, and risk-based insights to support decision-making. The role focuses on actuarial valuations, product sustainability, compliance, and enterprise risk management.
The Role
- Provide actuarial leadership and strategic insights
- Oversee valuation, pricing, and financial reporting
- Ensure regulatory compliance (including IFRS 17)
- Support risk management and long-term planning
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic actuarial leadership to the organization
- Lead actuarial valuation processes and experience investigations
- Develop and maintain actuarial models and governance frameworks
- Translate technical actuarial outputs into strategic recommendations
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 17 and relevant regulations
- Support capital management, solvency monitoring, and stress testing
- Prepare and present actuarial and financial reports
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, reinsurers, and consultants
- Lead and develop actuarial teams
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in actuarial systems
- Contribute to enterprise risk management initiatives
