Job Description

A fast growing company dealing in construction business, carpentry generator selling and servicing kitchen fitting is urgently looking for qualified persons to fill the listed down vacant position tenable in Blantyre.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the constructiondepartment
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Reconcile building material requisitions, purchase order and goods issued out documents
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws


Education and Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting with 3-5 years of experience in any construction company
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports


Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk
  • or Accounts payable clerk
  • Knowledge of WHT, VAT
  • Familiar with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in Excel, Word and MS Office
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication and writing skill
  • Self-starter
