Job Description

Emmanuel International is a faith based organization working with rural communities in the southern part of Malawi in Relief and Development since 1987. Emmanuel International is implementing Development and Food Security project known as Titukulane Project, meaning (let us work together for development}. This project is for five years and it will be implemented in Mangochi.

The Titukulane project intends to focus on six program areas: Agriculture, Maternal and Child Health, Water supply and sanitation, Civil Society, Disaster readiness, Private sector productivity and Environment. The project will both build capacities of women, men, girls and boys, and address systematic weaknesses that limit opportunities and reduce the likelihood of sustained outcomes.

Job Title: Field Monitors (36 Posts)

Reporting to: Project Integration Officer


  • Carries out the day-to-day project activities at field level in the sectoral areas assigned.
  • Participates in verification, sensitization and evaluation activities to achieve set standard of performance.
  • Communicates with Project Integration Officer as to the status of activities to highlight areas that may require specific attention
  • Liaises with community committees and leaders in order to promote the effective and efficient flow of project activities
  • Conducts village sensitizations, trainings, and water point activities in as required
  • Ensures that field activity documentation is accurate and up to date all the time
  • Assists the Project Integration Officer in planning sector field activities all the time
  • Prepares timely quarterly and annually reports to Management and other stake holders

  • Diploma in Development Studies, Community Development, Social Work or related field.
  • Must have 3 three years’ experience
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chichewa. Ability to speak Yao will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, e-mail and internet applications
  • Excellent organizational and Problem Solving Skills
  • Must hold a clean and valid Malawi Motorbike driver’s license.
