Job Description

Lotus Africa seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and motivated individual to the post of a Process Plant Trainer Superintendent at Kayelekera Uranium Mine in Karonga.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Processing Plant Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering effective training programs for plant employees to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of processing plant equipment and systems. The role focuses on building operator competence, improving performance, and supporting continuous improvement across plant operations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for plant operators, technicians, and other operational staff.
Conduct onboarding and induction training for new employees.
Provide refresher and upskilling training to ensure ongoing competence.
Develop training materials, SOPs, manuals, and visual aids aligned with plant processes.
Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for plant operators, technicians, and other operational staff.

Required Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Industrial Operations, Manufacturing, Food Processing, Mining, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience working in a processing plant or similar industrial environment.
Proven experience in training, coaching, or supervising plant personnel.
Strong understanding of plant operations, equipment, and safety standards.
