Job Description
The Supermarket Data Analyst will support business decision-making through data-driven insights by analyzing sales trends, inventory movement, customer behavior, and operational performance to improve profitability and efficiency across supermarket operations.
The Role
* Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales data
* Monitor inventory levels and identify stock shortages or overstocking
* Prepare reports and dashboards for management
* Track product performance and pricing trends
* Support forecasting and demand planning
* Identify customer purchasing patterns and shopping behaviour
* Work with procurement and finance teams to optimize stock management
* Develop KPIs for store performance and operational efficiency
* Ensure data accuracy and maintain reporting databases
* Present actionable insights to management
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, IT, or related field
* Experience in retail or supermarket analytics is an advantage
* Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems
* Knowledge of inventory management systems
* Understanding of retail KPIs and customer analytics
