Job Description

Malawi College of Accountancy, Malawi’s premier accountancy and business management training institution, would like to recruit highly motivated and results oriented individuals for the following positions tenable at its Blantyre Campus:


POSITION: TRAINEE LECTURER IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interested individuals must be graduates in Bachelor of Applied Accounting, Auditing and Information Systems Degree with lower second class award or above from an accredited institution.

The successful candidates will be on a two (2) year training programme during which they will be expected to teach professional courses and junior degree classes.

The College will enroll them for professional courses which they must complete within the two-year training period.

After successful completion of the programme, they will be offered three year performance-based contracts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BOTH POSITIONS:
  • Participating in effective teaching, assessment and student supervision
  • Supporting the development and review of teaching and learning materials
  • Counselling and mentoring students
  • Participating in curriculum development and reviews in taught subjects
  • Participating in consultancy and outreach activities
  • Preparing student performance and class attendance reports
  • Any other duties relevant to the post.
