Position : Early Years Room Leader
ST. ANDREW’S EARLY YEARS
Located in Sunnyside, Blantyre, our welcoming Early Years Department is now seeking a Room Leader (working at Level 3 CACHE, and with proven aptitude) to join our team from January 2020. For this role, you will be overseen by a Teacher, but responsible for leading the education of a year group of children, and for cover and support across the department, as part of our dynamic Early Years Team. We are passionate about developing the unique child and building a strong supportive network within the community. You will be a confident and experienced decision maker, and be able to use your initiative and flexibility to work seamlessly as part of a team. You will be able to manage support staff, and conduct appropriately professional relationships with colleagues and parents at all times. About the Role – Room Leader (TA4)
Demonstrable and excellent Early Years practice, and an understanding of policies and procedures that promote excellent practice in Early Years.
A sound knowledge of the EYFS, planning, assessment, and safeguarding procedures, plus understanding of how to use Development Matters framework to ensure good progress.
Supervisory skills: ensure the smooth running and implementation of high quality child care in the room.
Excellent communication skills and positive willingness to learn and develop, and participate fully in the wider life of the school.
