Job Description

FDH Bank Limited, a subsidiary of FDH Financial Holdings Limited, is looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Senior Manager- Business Development tenable at its Head Office in Blantyre.


Position: Senior Manager- Business Development


This position reports to the Head of Personal and Business Banking.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Develop FDH Bank’s market position and achieve financial growth in line with annual business plans, through building of key customer relationships and identifying and seizing business opportunities.

Major responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following;

  • Develop and execute business development plans for the retail and SME segments.
  • Lead and manage a team of branch-based sales people, managing their performance effectively to ensure attainment of set targets.
  • Come up with strategies for raising cheap deposits to fund asset growth
  • Drive revenue generation and profitability across all the portfolios under management.
  • Grow the asset book while ensuring effective underwriting of retail and SME credit facilities in a manner that manages inherent risk and leads to profitability.
  • Effective management of the lending portfolio to ensure a low non-performing loans ratio in line with budget.
  • Develop new business relationships and nurture existing ones to ensure that the bank’s business objectives are achieved.

Minimum level of Education
  • Masters in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or any related field.


Experience

The job holder is required to have 10 years of relevant experience in:
  • Sales and business management.
  • Credit risk management.
  • Should have indepth knowledge of how the financial market works.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience at a senior level in business development.
  • Membership to any of the following professional bodies;
    • Bankers Association of Malawi
    • ECAMA
    • ACCA
