Human Resources Interns

Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to take up the following positions tenable in the Corporation:


Position: Human Resources Interns (HR Interns)



Reporting: The HR interns will be reporting to Human Resources practitioners


Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in providing administrative support to Human Resources Practitioners
  • Assist in compiling HR statistics and metrics
  • File HR documents
  • Update leave returns
  • Assist in updating HR archives
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time


Requirements for Application:

  • Social Science Graduates majoring in Human Resources, Public Administration or Statistics
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English;
  • Good computer skills and a working knowledge of MS Office and Internet research;
  • Must demonstrate a good understanding of Labour Laws
  • Research, analytical and organisations skills
  • Willingness to learn and ability to take and follow instructions Duration & Location

The interns are expected to start IMMEDIATELY for a period of six (6) months and they will be working on a full-time basis at ESCOM Offices in Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Zomba.
